Default Broken Speedometer=New PCM

I took my '07 gt/cs to the delearship because the speedometer didn't work; the tach was also off.I was honest about my aftermarket parts(UDP'S, CAI/Custom Tune, CMCVdelete, Shaftmasters DS) with the e-mail i sent them. They said the engine and some emissions would not be covered. No problem. They asked me to reinstall the original tune. Noproblem.
Theyupdated the computer with an "as learned" program. Tach fixed. They then replaced the speed sensor. Still no speedometer. After"consultation" with a master technician, i am in need of a new PCM, $900 with all thelabor and parts.
i am not sure what to think. the tuner is reputable.it would be very difficult for me to prove that it wasn't my aftermarket parts. i have considered selling the car and moving on to a new project. i am afraid of pursuing future mods.any thoughts?

it dosent matter how good the tuner is sometimes people have off days and miss things. if it didnt happen right after the tune then id try to put the car back to stock and take it to a different dealer.

i doubt that the tune had anything to do with your problems at all but they can deny you warranty for that if they choose and that is the actual problem with your speedo.

Wouldn't the info from the previous dealer follow him to the next dealer in the database?

Absolutely, once it's in the Ford system it's there for good. Same goes for GM, Chrysler and the rest.
