While driving today I noticed that when I'm going about 35-40mph and I downshift to 2nd gear and let the rpms go down the car has a very pleasing and noticeable purr-down that wasn't there before I cleaned my filter. I guess the clean filter and my new catted prochamber setup freed up some air so my car can breathe better. I can't wait to get headers and gears.

I was also worried about the re/over oiling. Seemed like a pain considering there are "dry" filters out there that filter better.

I purchased a couple of amsoil synthetic "dry" filters for my C&L cai to get me past 50k on the car. They ran about $70 ea. but are the best you can buy...

I recently changed my K&N Aircharger filter from a K&N to an Amsoil. You're right, these are the best filters you can buy, and no over oiling worries.

Its about time I need to clean my filter but, have worries too of over oiling. I have an Airaid CAI and am looking for an AMSoil filter that will replace the Airaid one. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Measure your air-tube inlet size and also the depth from the inlet tube to your firewall (to ascertain filter length) and then go here and choose the correct filter for your application.

ah yeah, "flange ID (inside diameter)" should match your external air-tube size. (most often 3.5-4'). And you want the longer flange length (1.75') to slip over your air-tube.

Another advice I got, is to clean the filter as instructed by K&N, then re oil it with the oil spray and the let the filter sit over night so that
if you used too much oil it will drain off.
