Help tightening E-brake

Help tightening E-brake
So can this be done by an amateur such as myself? I finally let my douche bag cousin drive my car, and all went well 'till he yanked the hell out of the E-break. I mean, seriously, the damn thing was standing straight up. So now it feels really loose. Any way to tighten it? Or did he stretch it out?

RE: Help tightening E-brake
there is a screw underneath the panel where the cup holders are, ya the whole thing pops out
lift up your center console cover and there will be two screws near the hinge of the console, take those out
and all along both sides of part with the cup holders there are clips on the inside that will just pop off wiggle youll get it off
and then youll see the whole e-brake handle and mechanism, i think the long screw sticking out of the back is what you tighten the e brake with, never actually tightened mine but that is where i would start. found it was there tearing apart my center to get to the back of my deck

Cool, i'll try that and see what it does. BTW there is a little trap door inside the center console, and you can see that long screw on the back...maybe it's used to tighten it w/o taking apart the console?
