OK so how are the KDWs as far as traction goes? I know they are not a drag tire but I was just wondering if anyone has ran them at the track with any success?

I purchased some with my Shelby 20's (265/275) when Ifirst gotthe car. 25k later they are falling apart. Pieces of treadblock are shedding/wearing away. I was REALLY happy with the performance but I guess with any performance tire you're going to start having issues at around 25k. I was just hoping they would last longer at $250 ea....[&o]

I look to put a LOT fewer miles on the car this year. lol! I've had a blast with it this first year!

If you want to get compliments on your tires BFG KDW II's are the way to go. I have had tons of people say the tread pattern is so bad ***..
I also liked the tread pattern. I ordered mine from Merchant's Tire. Their prices were the lowest I could find.

I want to get the most traction I can out of a street tire but not with too much road noise. When you guys say they are alittle loud do you mean like truck tires humming on the highway?
Not too loud...just a little louder than the stockPirelli tires. With windows up, a/con and radio on I couldn't hear them. With windows down, radio off and cruising I could hear them.

I never heard mine either until parts of tread started shedding away at 20k . Then they became really loud. Other than that, great performing tire and they sure do look great.

I love mine..... the tread pattern is awesome! If you wont use in the the rain or not worried about wet traction then maybe stick witht he Nitto's as they are a great sticky tire too. The KDW2's are designed for wet and dry traction and though my car nevers see water or rain I bought them for the looks and traction second. They are excellent performers on dry pavement too...... but I wanted the tread design

I haveGoodyear Eagles on the GT500 and on my GMC Sierra. The Goodyears are nice tires but I like the BFG's better. I am real tempted to pull the Goodyear's from the GT500 and replace them with BFG...only thing,my wife is likely to raise holy hell! LOL

Riptide, look at the bright side. New 18 wheels.

I have the 18 BFG that can stock with the car. Also most 13,000 on them. Road nosie is NOT a problem. Traction on the street is good. At the drag strip, not so good. At 13,000 wear is not a problem, but I do get to the track, and I do burn outs. So I will be replacing them by next year I guess.
