New rims/tires...what about TPMS?

I took the cheap way. I check my tire pressure regularly like I have done for many years before these sensors even existed. When the warning light comes on I press the reset button and I'm good to go. No big deal.

TPMS is over rated.
Not worth all the bands/training hassles.
Skip it and just mount the rims/tires already.

out of curiosity, does the dealer have to program the new sensors? Or can they self programed like a key.

I reused my old sensors.TheplaceI got my tires from ordered bands and had them the next day.
