Default removed door ding strip, im screwed...

alright, so today i decided to remove the door ding strip off of my windveil blue stang and after i took the strips off (i did exactly what you guys had said to do) there is a little thin line that is slightly darker than the rest of the paint at the bottom of where the strip used to be

its nothing major but id really like to know how to get rid of it, i already tried washing, claying, and waxing. no luck.

do i just need to let it weather on its own?

Just have to let the fade catch up and remember you are your worst critic. Most probably won't even think twice about it.

Use a rubbing compound. Wax is not abrasive enough.
