maybe not on the 08's but on my 05, i was at the shop when they needed to do some grinding with a cutoff saw/grinder when i had my bumper and lights all changed out...i saw the grind marks with my own eyes and i dont think theyd grind just some random area of plastic to see if theirs worked properly ;-)

You can follow this to get your bumper off

http://www.cherod.com/mustang/HowTo/...sciaInstal.pdf

and if you look here

this is the only time grinding is needed. You are swapping the complete turn signal out. Otherswise its all nuts and bolts.

I have not changed out the turn signals, but my friend had an 06 & I changed his front headlights out. No need to remove the entire bumper, just loosen one side at a time. It takes a little patience & some moving around, but I did not have to remove the entire front bumper. Good luck!

yes, it is possible to change out the headlights just by loosening the bumper...the only reason you have to loosen or remove the bumper is to access the lower bolts on the headlights....post up a pic once youre all done!

Go to my conversion thread and follow the instuctions for removal of front bumper. Its real easy and you wont need to grind anything off. Just pop the off and re-attach them with a zip tie. Mine has been on for 1.5 years and still holding strong.

well i didnt have any rivets on mine, and i did have to take the bumper all the way off as there were two plastic peices sticking out of my bump that slid into part of the headlight and i didnt want to cut those off or anything...all in all i could do a complete swap in about 30 minutes if i had to again
