Default 4.1 gear swap and cam swap too drastic???

man i just dumped a big wad of cash on mods without thinking...

i'll be swapping my gear out for a 4.10 i have a dial indicator and a dial torque wrench so i'm gonna attempt it myself. Fordmuscle also has a good article on how to swap out the gear in an 05 stang so i almost memorized it

I'll also be swapping out my cams for frpp hot rod cams... bought the tools and parts just waitin for them to come in... again gonna do it on my own thanks to hammeron and his DIY cam swap sticky

with these two kinda drastic mods anybody think that a dyno tune would be prudent or any concerns about these two mods????

It's gonna run alittle higher on the rpm's and frpp does not recommend going over i think it's 6500 rpm not sure why.

any feedback would be good i kinda didn't do my homework one these before i got them...

dam thanks, the specifications chart is what i really needed i'm not nervous at all about doin it now... would be nice to have all those ford tools though but if they were able to do it in fordmuscle in someone's garage withouthem i don't see why i can't

mainly wondering how the 4.1 and the hot rod cams will "mesh" together

You will definitely need to dyno tune it for the new cams. Good luck with the installs. Let us know how it goes.

oh schnap!!!!!!! things are going good so far... haven't gotten any of the parts yet but i decided that while i'm waiting i might as well prep everything in stages for the gear swap so i'm not tired doing that precision measurements.

took loads of pics that i'm uploading now but here's the final product

took me about three hours and wasn't too hard due to the fact that i never have driven it in the winter...

one thing i will say thought is that it would've been nice to have air tools and a lift, but i was still able to do it myself. thinkin about doin a diy gonna be quite a few pics
