v6s vs v8s???
Your main focus should be cost. It gets better gas mileage, cost less to purchase, and insurance cost less.
Those are your only positives. V8 sounds better, goes faster, and looks better (dual exhaust is always better than single). Sure you can make a V6 as fast as a stock v8, but then all your previous positives are not as strong anymore. Insurance may remain the same, but gas mileage and overall cost will be the same as if not more than a v8.

BullS***. You don't like the big fogs so thats why you didn't get the GT?!?!? LOL. That's all of a $300 mod, max. You definately had another reason, be it initial cost or insurance.
Why do some people not believe you can actually like a Mustang just for looks and nothing else? I'm pretty sure everyone agrees that the stock V6 is quite a bit more retro looking than a stock GT.
What do you mean????? They both look retro. The first generation GT's had fog lights, V8's, dual exhaust and GT badges, just like today. The first generation sixers didn't, just like today.
S197 GT's are much more aggressive looking due to the "ground effects" styling of the front and rear bumper ... and larger grill to accommodate the fog lights.
Original Mustang GT's actually used the Current V6 Pony Package Grill Lights with bars.
Original GT's had a body IDENTICAL to non-GT cars ... only difference was the badging ..

Having owned a vsux mustang I can tell you without a doubt that I would never trade in my V8 for a Vsux. The gain in MPG is negligible, the only thing the v6 has going for it is cost. It is very cheap to own and very cheap to get while my GT has a bitch of an insurance policy.
And the v6 bumpers look fugly anyway

Mods are enjoying the show.
Also, BS to someone buying a v6 because it looks more retro than a GT. The pony grill is seriously a $200-300 modification. I'll accept someone saying they didn't want to pay extra for a V8 or that they couldn't afford it. But someone saying a v6 looks more retro is just pulling an answer out of their rear.
