I don't wanna burst you guys bubbles lol, but if it didn't happened yet, it won't.

My guess is that it's not corrosion, but rather prep contamination at the factory.
The sweat/moisture of a human finger on bare metal or aluminum is enough to screw the pootch.

Who knows what happens at the plant...

Well I read a few pages of that thread you posted and now I'm paranoid...

My car does not have much of the bubbling, but here's some pics of what I found:

Like the thread said this might just be epoxy from where they put the two pieces together. What worries me are the following pictures. The bubbles are worse.

Big bubble on trunklid...

...and clear looking bubble on hood(looks like a water drop right on the edge of the hood, so you can see it from the outside)

I also have a very very small chip on the outside lip of my hood. It is white and I don't see any corrosion. Do I have anything to be worried about with these pics or the chip?

And OP: Good luck with the bubbles on the outside of your car. That really sucks man...

This is corrosion all right.
The hood isn't an isolated case but the rear lid is a first for me.

Scrape it off, brush some etch primer and touch it up with black paint with a tiny brush.

- Ok so all of it is corrosion or just the places on the hood and trunk? Those little spots on the hood look like something else, but I don't know.
- What do I scrape the bubbles off with?
- What is etch primer, and where do I get it?
- What about the small white chip on my hood lip? How do I stop the spread of corrosion?

This really sucks...first the chips on my trunklid from my spoiler now this...I'm getting my trunklid repainted so I'll ask the dealership about this while I'm there.

You get primer at any automotive paint stores.

You should be able to have the dealer fix all of those...
Maybe not a total repaint, but at least stop the cancer spreading.

If you do this yourself, just use a small pointy object like a small screwdriver, box cutter etc, to chip away the damage bubbled paint.
Then a dab of etch or epoxy primer on the bare surfaces.
Touch up paint the next day and that should do it.

I'm not convinced all these bubbles are from corrosion. Some of these cars are just to new to have that many corrosion problems. I feel its some kind of a painting defect/delamination problem.

If you chip it off is there actual corrosion underneath? If you chip away the paint, prime and paint its going to come right back if its a corrosion problem.

Go there with an open mind.
Try to find more of those problems before you go.
Clean up those edges and point everyone of them to the bodyman.
