SSINSERTS - HORRIBLE!
Ok, i just need to vent for a second. So here is what just happened...
I have been looking for the shelby gt-h billet grille in gloss black. I found it on 5 differant sites, 4 of them are sold out. The 5th one, ssinserts has it, BUT they are asking $20 more than everyone else. So I call them and ask if they price match, the guy says "on what". I say "the shelby gt-h grille in black". He says "no one else has it cheaper". So I say "well actually shelbyperformancparts.com has it for $109 and so does partscheap.com . His response in a very arrogant tone "well go get it from them then". So i reply by saying "thats just what i'll do" and hang up.
So it probably doesnt sound that bad but just the way the POS acted and talked to me really pissed me off. I will NEVER buy from them. I'll wait the 3 weeks they are back ordered, save $20 and not have to deal with their attitude. Worst customer service ever!

I really hate companies and employees like this. I'm seriously considering calling them and wasting a lot of their time today just to amuse myself.
They would call it libel... the technical definition of libel is untrue and damaging statements printed or spread through text or photographic media for the purpose, expressed or implied, to damage the name or reputation of a person or organization. Obviously, if what nascar put on the forum was accurate, then they have no case at all. But, since the case hinges on a phone call between people (say nascar and this 'rogue customer service agent, for example) it degrades quickly into the kind of petty bickering that I spank my 6 year old for.
As to the OP's rant, I completely agree that the experience that they had needs to be brought to light, especially to other customers.
I remember reading in this thread (maybe page 2 or so) of another 'former business owner' backhandedly defending the economics practiced by SSInserts, and companies like them. Without turning this into a mud-slinging contest, I would point out that this person is a FORMER business owner. I would argue with the fact that consumers have a 'right' to purchase at lowest price, but I do agree that if a vendor's 'price package' from a supplier means that they have to charge 10% more than their competition, maybe the vendor needs to re-evaluate their business model. Even so, consumers are people too, and have the 'right' to be treated with at least the respect that you'd give someone you meet on the street, or the consumer has the 'right' to take their business elsewhere.

The thing that really irks me the most is the fact that I've ordered items from other companies, and never been treated like that. Sorry if I offend any chevy guys out there, that may have a ford and chevy, but I really feel like there more for chevy people then they are for ford. But asside from that. I know when I called and who's number I called, and what time I called. I've looked it up so many times I'm tired of looking at it.
They tell me if I say anything out here on the web, they will file a lawsuit against me, as "THEY WILL GO TO GREAT LENGTHS TO PROTECT THERE NAME", as I was told in my latest email.
