Default Tuner was said to be unlocked...

Hey guys just got my Xcal 2 that I bought from a member on these forums. The car it was on was returned to stock, but the tunes are still on the Xcal. I downloaded the SCT Live Link 3.41(Xcal 2 only software) and plugged the Xcal in. It's not really connecting with the program and I'm a little lost. I don't have my CAI or tunes yet but I want to go ahead and unlock and clear the tunes off this xcal(they're for a GT). How does this program work?

Thanks!

Ok nevermind I downloaded the wrong program. I needed Live load. Anyway, I still have a problem. The guy I bought it from said the vehicle was returned to stock however when I click "Unlock Tuner" on the program it says "Cannot unlock, car hasn't been returned to stock" Omg don't tell me I got ripped...

Have you contacted the guy you purchased it from?

Try calling whomever you intend to buy your tunes from (hopefully Bama or Brenspeed) and ask them. I'm sure they've dealt with this before and can help you unlock/clear it.

Just talked to SCT and they had me click some buttons on the Xcal.

Device Info>Select>Select and it read as Tuner=Aftermarket meaning the car has not been returned to stock.

I contacted the seller via PM, I also have his paypal email(no response yet). I trusted him because he was selling alot of stuff including his CAI(which was sold) so I can't imagine why the car wasn't returned to stock. Maybe there is a misunderstanding... Here's the thread:
