Also keep in mind that these are the MSRP prices I mentioned and I get the X-Plan through my work so the final will be lower. Just using the MSRP as an estimate for now.

I went with the car I bought because the next model up had leather seats and the better stereo.....$3000 more. Screw that. Leather seat skins are $300. Radio...pick one you really like from Best Buy.

I got the heated seats and upgraded everything but I dont drive mine in the winter... but when I was in Germany they came in Handy... now the stang doesnt really see 50 below weather...

Ford does a really poor job of describing the differences between the Deluxe and Premium. I didn't want the Shaker 500 or leather seats. But there were other things in a Premium that Ford didn't mention - like the metalic steering wheel spokes. And i'm not sure but I think the Deluxe has more gauges in the the dash (4 gauges between the speedometer & tachometer instead of 2).

I bought a Deluxe model. The steering wheel is all-black. Not leather-wrapped which is OK with me. But I'd really prefer metal steering wheel spokes. And I would have preferred more metal trim in general inside the interior. Everything except the ring around the A/C vents and the door handle ***** is black (aforementioned rings and ***** are metalic).

I would guess there maybe other minor differences as well.

Is the Shaker 500 just a head unit or is it also completely different speakers as well?

i believe it includes subwoofers in the doors where as the 1000 adds subwoofers in the doors and 2 10in subs in the trunk

way to high i would say you could get that for under 1000 check out http://www.newtakeoff.com/mustanglea...coalcoupe.aspx front and rear leather for 350 they also have a install video it was really simple putting them in my sisters 05 and looks just as good as factory.

The subs in the doors are the BEST PART of the Shaker 500. I changed everything except those. They rock when given a lot of juice.
