ah so your wanting to buy the block and just move your old internals over into it? Thats getting out of my territory. I honestly dont even know if that would work, if you would need a 8 bolt crank to work with that block or not ect. You may want to send a msg to PLstang hes put the 5.4 in his car but he put the whole engine straight from a shelby in his.. but i would think he could answer your questions best.

The thing is I'm a big fan of N/A. I rather spend 4k on a 5.4 that will add 80-90hp than spend 4500 on a blower that will give me 130-150hp. It feels like the power is always there. You can step on it at 2500rpm and still feel it while with some cheaper SC's (Vortech) you have to be at over 4k for it to kick in
Oh for sure, staying N/A is fine if that's what you're after. But don't forget that a Vortech/Paxton is a centrifugal blower. So much like a turbo, it makes it's power higher up the rev range. Don't dismiss a blower until you've driven in a decent twin screw powered Mustang. They make power straight out the gate.

if you want the feel of a big engine, saleen s/c would be perfect for you. If you are dead set on N/A then definately go for it! ford racing sells the 5.4 engine for 15 grand which i find pretty rediculous in all honesty
No more ridiculous than the teacher who taught your class how to spell it LOL

Even if you bought that block you gave with the link you'd still have to put internals in, and for dropping in forged internals and doing all the labor with removing a block and reinstalling the block it will be a nightmare labor wise. I say just buy a Livernois 298 block if you're set on buying a block...or even cheaper you could throw in the kit into your block and it'll be all good
