Default Info Setup Reset Button

Well Like put in another post, I poped open the blank cover on my center console where the controls of the dash message center screen is and it had the the extra wiring cable. So I went on ebay and bought the info, setup, reset buttons. Only for $10.00. I won't be able to get the new speedometer cluster till Jan due to financial problems. I decided to test the new buttons and they light up. My question is can I leave it plugged in with out having the new speedometer or will leaving it confuse the cars computer and make my car have electrical issues or other problems.

i don't think it would screw anything up... all it does is gather info and output it to the cluster display. if the display isn't there it'll just output to nothing.

Default 2005 Ford Mustang buttons

So I just got a 2005 and I also have the blank buttons, if I buy the switches (buttons) for it is the wiring behind it? Or is it not even equipped with the wiring for it? I’m just confused if I am able to instal the buttons or not.

All of the GT models (Deluxe and Premium) were fitted with the wiring pigtail so it'll be plug n' play.
