Default Timing Chain / Cam

Hey guys, while replacing my timing components my helper (son) got carried away and took everything loose before I got a good look. I know for sure the cams rolled slightly when the tension was taken off the chains that’s a given. I have a general idea where the L and R on the Phasers were positioned. But now I’m frustrated. Also before he decided to be a pro mechanic I noticed that the blue links on the chain were one full link past the L and R respectively

I hate to say it but it looks like you might have to pull the timing cover to correct the timing.

We already took the cover off. We had a weird noise and suspected the guides may have been broken. Everything was intact. What we did find was excessive slop and the chains both skipped teeth
