avic f900bt help please
i just got done installing the new hu, well almost. i have encountered a few problems.
1. the radio antenna does not fit to the back of the avic so what do i need for it to fit. 2. my car came with sirius but what do i need to hook it up to the new hu. 3. i am adding two more subs and and amp along with the stock shaker 500 door subs. what i did was hooked up the rca jack to the pioneer harness labeled front speakers for the shaker subs and plugged the extra subs rca jacks to the pioneer wire harness labeled subwoofer. i can not test out the subs now but am wondering if it will work. 4. there are three harnesses that connect to the back of the shaker 500 but i only used two to connect to the avic f900bt, what is the third harness used for? can anyone help me?

thanks, i thought it was something that could have came with the unit. i got it from amazon, so theres no way ill be able to get a antenna adapter from the same place. im gonna try radio shack. i am not gonna put the center console together till i get everything hooked up right. also when using the supplied microphone during phone calls i am getting complaints that it is hard to hear me and it sounds bad. has anyone used an aftermarket mic? thanks to everyone for there wright ups on the d3, i used those as a reference.

update. for anyone installing an aftermarket hu. the antenna adapter used for the f900bt is a chrysler antenna adapter. i got it from circuit city, the part number is 40-CR10. the ford one did not work with the stock antenna. go figure.

Is this adapter needed for a 2005 because I just went to try to install mine and can't get the plug in way to short to really try but just doesn't feel right. Some are same only 2007 and up need the adapter I'm confused and mad I couldn't finish my install tonight.

I have an 05 and didn't need an adapter but was a pain to get it plugged in. I think I cut one of the wire ties that was securing the antenna behind the glove box which gave it enough slack to get it connected.

You don't need an antenna adapter for an 05 however I would strongly recommend to anyone doing this install to get an antenna extender cost about $7 bucks from best buy. The reason being is our antenna is on the right side or the car and the F900BT plugs in on the left side of the car making it extremely difficult to plug in.
