I like some things about it, but it's just not doin it for me right now. Might be one of those things that grows on you over time... who knows.

When the 05 came out, I said to myself, "I must own this car." So I bought one 2 years later after I saved the money for that sole purpose. And I am glad I did.

I can't see myself saying the same thing about the 2010.

thought the reveal on speed was WAAAY over hyped...talkers stumbled over their words, didnt show the car enough, and the vid clips on the generations of stangs was poorly put together with lots of years missing....plus the car still looks FUGLY!

i just saw an 09 dodge ram commercial...the front looks like htat of the new stang just stretched on a truck..lol

IMO the new car is a dissapointment. To me the rear end is just plain off. The front end looks like they copied the camaro. I do really like the hood though. I was hoping It would be a retro look after the 67-69 cars, much the way mine is with the 64-66 cars. I will definitly not be trading in my current GT for the 2010, but am thinking about doing it for the new Camaro. 315hp?! Come on Ford. I know you have the resources and engineuity to do better than that all while getting better mpg. To put it in better perspective, I used to have a ls1 camaro that got 30mpg and had almost 400hp. No sc no turbo no nitrous. The valve covers and intake manifold had never even been off the car. That car was a 01 and over 10 years later after the ls1, ford is just catching up in power and isnt even close in mpg, and the ls1 was 1.1 liters bigger. I feel lucky now if I get 24mpg in my 4.6 GT. Even if the new GT started out at 27k, that would not be a bargan over a 30k Camaro.

I like how everyone is saying the new camaro is a fat pig and is close in performance to the GT. Wake the **** up people. 300-400lbs is hevier yes, but when you take into account it has 107 more hp and tourque that far outweighs the difference. If the new GT keeps the same 3500lbs the new SS will beat it by around .5 of a second when both cars have a equal amount of traction. If you dont believe me look at trap speed. You should never compare e.t. of two different stock cars without looking at trap speed. Trap speed is what to look at when wanting to know what a car is capable of in the 1/4. The new Camaro will trap at around 110. Enough said.

I love my mustang, but people need to face the cold hard truth. I just wish Ford would match the other pony cars in performance for around the same price. What turned me on about my current mustang is the looks and think it looks just as good or better than the camaro, but just wish it would have more punch from the factory.

Well that will certinly help if you can get the 400hp version installed for only 4k more. A 400hp 3600lb stang would be right there with the ls3. I just hope Ford dealers wont rape people on the cost of doing this, becuase if they do, it would defeat the purpose of best bang for your buck.
