2010 Revealed
Ok wow I am Shocked. 13 pages and it has been one " for the most part" big HP fight and race fight. My question is did everyone really pay attention to all the changes? From what I gather they refined the interior if the car "something they really needed to do" they state they have improved handling on the cars and the v6 models sounded like they got a nice upgrade in the handling area. With standard features. Here is my two cents on the 2010 and I really want to check it out in person before I say I fully dislike it I'd not.
Front end , one of the main reasons I liked the 05-09 is the bold historic look it presented and the 2010 carries some of this into the design with a refined look. So does it still yell out MUSTANG? Yes it does just a bit smoother than our models.
Rear end. Ours as with the front are hard lines that say I am a mustang. The new one will take a bit of time for it to grow on mustang fans I do feel that it looks a bit off the mark for a mustang. But glad to see l.e.d plus sequintal lights those are attention grabbers. And I feel the rear looks a bit cheap in the limited pics I have seen
I also want to point out something else if you compare the likes of the v6 models then don't forget you can buy the 09 mustangs for 15-17k I have even heard of new 08 for less than 15k. Now how long till you see a challenger or comaro below 21k.
All the Gt and v6 owners can rest in the fact that dollar for dollar car vs car you'll still compare well with the new muscle car era right now.
Yes we. At have to upgrade our cars a little. Heck I just seen the new shelby v6 and it reviewed as super solid race car and at 375 hp
I could go on with pointing out good and bad with all 3 cars but on the iPhone typeing this LOL.
I think the competition is going to work out well for all three car owners. But I want to see the three muscle cars work to beat the rice tuners LOL
Also I could be wrong but didn't the mustang survive not because it was bigger or badder than all the rest but because it was great for the price and had alot of depth in the community and it was able to be modified to match the bigger badder cars at a relative lower cost?
Ps I'll try to clean up this message tomorrow when on the desktop

sure the the challenger has more horse right!? and the Camero right!?
They are too HEAVY like over 500lbs heavy they are freekin boat anchors man!
all i got to say is Ford works smarter not harder...we all bought mustangs because they have their own appeal and yes they do have hp. how you guys gonna use it is the question? plus all mustang owners mod their stang anyway they keep it cheap to help us out they brought the SRA back and everything.
we can do this again just like we have don with previous gens. of stangs make them ours personally.
The camero is too fat. its like a Lardo trying to pole vault...im not worried one bit
VIVA LA STANG!

Now that I have watched the unveiling I like the rear more than I did before but that was with the little spoiler it had. They looked really good at night but in the day I just don't like the placement of the clear parts of the tail lights. The falken car looked really nice and they did make a nice intro into the hanger and had some kick *** cars there. I think they did pretty good for the live hour show they could do. I would have liked to seen the car they had on its side and on its drag simulator thing they talked about in the beginning.
The thing looks more like a new age crossed with the S197. lol not much has changed at all really. Kinda disappointing. I think the itialian concept would have been hot but I like the last 2 generations much better.
Thats good and all but we need to have some type of forced induction to beat the Camaro. I love my mustang and i came from an LS1. My old car was a monster but i love mustangs looks more. I like the new look, execpt the accord back, and the interior. Just HATE the engine... and being in last place again when it comes out to comparisons. FYI! Back when the new edges came out the car weighed 3300 LBS with 260 hp. The competitors were the T/A and the CAMAROS. They both had 325 hp and weighed 3700lbs. The difference between the mustang and the Camaro and T/A were 65hp and 400lbs. LS1 always won performance. Look now. Camaro 436hp weight 3900lbs new mustang 315 hp and lets say weight is 3400. Difference between mustang and camaro now is 121 hp and 500 LBS. Catch my drift?
The 05-09 looks much more like an american muscle car should look imo. At first glance I thought I was looking at a mazda rx8 (lol). But seriouisly, buying a base ss camaro with the 6 speed and 427 hp (i think thats close anyway) is only about 2500.00 more than a gt premium. sc for the stang is more than double that not including an install. The ls motors in the ss are already forged so people supercharging there camaros will be making some incrediable (safe) hp numbers without needing to tear into the short block.
Dont get me wrong, I love my stang but ford needs to man up and offer something more than a 50,000 gt500.

I hate it when people talk out of their ****.
First, it's 400 with the base SS, secondly with a 10.7 compression ratio, good luck getting much more tha 5-8psi into that motor before either bringing the compression down or doing some serious work on the inside of it to support anymore. Iron liners or not. Not to mention it's already required to run premium fuel because of the compression ratio so even if you squeeze more PSI into the motor you'll have to trim your timing back so far it won't be worth it.
I don't know where you live but GT500's list at 42K not 50K. If you want to take into account Market Markup then the camaro will also be suceptible to that just like the GTO was and just like the Challenger is. Good luck finding a camaro at MSRP
Last item, Have you not been watching the news lately? GM and Chrysler both are on all fours begging for money to keep them floating. Ford is too but not nearly as bad as either of those two, why? Because they (ford) makes cars that appeal to the masses, not gear heads. A gear head will buy a Stock car mod it, it doesn't matter how fast it is from the factory. That's what the camaro is aiming at, that small group of people that want the fastest and don't care about the history/heritage, are looking for a weekender and have disposable income. Notice how quickly that market segment imploded this last month? Notice how the GT500 is not selling nearly as well as it was? That's the camaro in a couple of years.
