Default Changing s197 turn signals

I got my clear turn signal lights it the mail the other day and i tried swapping them out today. For those of you who have swapped them out, you know that they are held by the two nuts at the ends of the lights behind the bumper. I raised the front of my car and attempted to try and take out the nuts but the space was really tight and couldnt.
I was wondering how you guys swapped out your turn signal lights. Id prefer not to take off my front bumper because of all the screws id have to take off then put back on haha.
Thanks

mine had no screws...i just turned the wheels and took out the wheelwell liner and where the lights mount there are two plugs, I guess you would call them, that go though the holes on the actual light that you just squeeze the ends of them and the light will come off...there isnt any actual bolts...hope this helps...i took mine off and put the new ones on in about 5 minutes

by lights i mean the entire housing. the whole plastic piece (amber lens) you just take the wheel liner off to take off the stock amber housing of the lights?

yea man, you have to turn the front tires in the opposite direction of the turn signal you're currently replacing. there are plastic and metal screws that have to be taken out in the wheel well. in order to take out the plastic fasteners, you have to use a phillips screwdriver and turn slightly until the middle of the plastic fastener pops out slightly. then use your fingers or a flathead to pry up the plastic fastener gently by wedging the raised area. remove any screws/fasteners you can possibly reach. pull back the wheel-well liner and it makes it a thousand times easier to reach the amber lens. then use pliers to get at those pesky white urethane fasteners.

trust me, i did this myself in around 30 minutes. you have to do it this way. don't even think about taking your bumper off...it can be done so much easier. the hardest part about this install should be slipping the new turn signal in to its place inside the bumper and wedging it in so it stays...now THAT step took me a while. be CAREFUL!!!

i used stangmods' how-to. it helped me nicely.

Here's another how-to. I used this method when I swapped out my lenses. There's a really nice thread at the top of the forum that contains lots of awesome how to links.

no bolts. once you get the liner out, there aren't any tools needed.
