It is possible that not listening to the radio during the entire trip (2.5 hrs each way) may have helped but its still possible that whatever is draining the battery would have done so anyway
The problem is the battery and the cars electrical system was not being powered by the charging system for some reason.
The actual time it took for things to go from seamingly normal to complete **** was less than 5 minutes
I wasnt saying you didi anything wrong, I was just telling you what you could do next time regardless of the vehicle.
As I mentioned before, the alternator checked out ok. They looked at the obvious areas and said there weren't any problems.
They obviously missed something.
Let us kow what they find.

don't really blame the mechanic as the work order and thier boss may not let thing put to much time in it since it's warranty..does it make it right HELL no ..I had a tire wearing issue even show'd the guy what was wrong 2 days in the shop said it was nothing wrong..I ordered 2 control arm bushing problem solve....sued ford..I even got paid for fixing it at the shops rate
