Ordering 3rd Shaker 1000 on Tuesday
My first Shaker 1000 unit was wrought with all the problems described here for months.
My 2nd Shaker 1000 unit died yesterday. There are 5 disks in it and it says no CD when
I try to load one. Then I try to eject one, it does nothing but say CD error. When I do the self test
the systems fails.
The unit sounds good when it's working, but this is ridiculous!
I'll be getting in touch with the dealer on Tuesday to get another one ordered.
What company makes the Shaker 1000 head unit? Has anyone called them to see what the deal is?

Exactly why I pulled mine out and installed an aftermarket unit. Got tired of jacking with it after the 4th one. Didn't even care about the warranty any more, just wanted a system that worked.
I havent had any issues with mine yet, so I hope it isnt a major problem with Shaker 1000 systems. I have had it loaded with the full 6 cds and use it everyday. It sounds great, and I love it so far, just hope it continues to be a great system. Sorry you guys are having problems, hope they fix the issue soon.
Yeah- I second that. I am in day three of owning the car and I love the system so far. No probs as of yet. It sounds great and it is loud as hell. I have to turn down the volume to hear the engine cause I love to listen to the growl as I shift. Maybe if I get some loudmouths I won't have to turn down the shaker anymore...
