Default water in the muffler

I washed the car and like an idiot somehow for a second I sprayed water into my exhaust tip. I guess it will eventually evaporate. Hope it doesn't rust out.

GTA muffers, BTW.

I get water into my exhaust tips all the time. As soon as you start the car it'll blow the water out and anything left over will be evaporated by the very-hot exhaust.

Absolutely nothing to worry about.

No worries but run the car to evaporate the water and it will also be blown out with some spirited driving!

HOLY CRAP!!! YOUR ENGINE COULD LOCK UP!!! DISASSEMBLE THE ENTIRE EXHAUST AND GET THAT H2O OUT NOW!!!

just kidding, everyone else is right. its absolutly harmless. i've even know some folks to do it for fun and then start it and rev and see how far it would shoot out.

That's gonna make the muffler bearings rust. You should get the Torqueson grease gun, fill it to eleven and make sure there's no excessive flubber wear. Other than that, drive it like you stole it.

holy crap i did the same thing to my parents' Aerostar when i was about 5 (early 90's)...few months later, the CEL came on and never was to be shut off. The 'rents traded it in for peanuts and bought a Civic wagon.

I never knew if I caused the damage haha. Probably not, but crappy coincidence nonetheless.

i used to wash my parents cars every weekend (sometimes for extra cash, sometimes just for the hell of it) and i would always accidentally spray some water up the tailpipe of my mom's various chevy suburbans, and wonder if that did any damage.

the answer is......no. come on man. how could that possibly harm anything. the water evaporates quickly anyway.
