Question One-Touch Convertible Top Module

Any of you have a "Mustang One-Touch Convertible Top Module" from American Muscle? Does it work as advertised?

Not sure about that one, but heard nothing but great feedback about Webelectric products, which is the one I will be ordering...

I've got one. I love it & thought it was well worth the money to not have to hold that button down. Now I can buckle up, fix the radio, etc. while the top is dropping. It seems kinda lazy until you get one and then realize how cool it is. :-)

One piece of advice, when you install it, do not use the crimp connectors. Solder the wires. I started with the crimps and one of them failed on the way to work one day. When I slowed down enough to get past the safety at a stop light the top started going up and down on it's own. Embarrassing and tough to fix since it tried to go down even when latched. Had to get it up and pull the fuse to get it home. Since it was soldered it's been rock solid.

Mine was from webelectric as well, but I believe they're the same thing. The webelectric guys are very good about responding on technical or support questions if you need them.

Yeah, both the top and the rear windows are something that should have been done by Ford. Both are on my to do list this winter. And I could not agree more on the solder verses "crimp". I started my career fixing electronic devices and have NEVER used those cheap crimp connectors as you are only asking for trouble. I might crimp first, but always solder and shrink tube everything!

Installed early summer and worked flawlessly, a must have in my book. Thought from day one it was stupid to have to hold the button, let alone wait on the windows to go down first.

Didn't you guys ever forget to unlatch the top before activating the switch?
I know I did it at least once, glad I just had to release the switch when I heard the motor strain.
Just my 0.2 cents on why Ford did it that way.

Edit: Forget this, there's a safety feature built-in the Webelectric kit mentionned in the link...
