My Stang is only my 2nd muscle car. My 1st was a 1997 Firebird Formula. I've run both up to 110+.
IMO, the Mustang likes to wander too much. It feels stable, but I also feel like I have to drive it.
The Firebrid I had could be driven at high speeds with one pinkie on the steering wheel. It had no "road wander" at all. It drove as easy at 110mph as it did at 30mph. By comparison, I'm a bit disappointed in the Mustang in that area.
ive driven both of my s197 gt's at up to 140mph with two fingers. you might have something else up with yours. i see triple digits on a weekly basis and it is with little to no effort steering in a straight line. actually rides smooth as hell at speeds over 120mph. my gf had to ask me,one time, how fast we were going bc of how smooth it was. she wont ask anymore. lol

The efforts made to improve the KR's aerodynamic behavior at high speed are intriguing, because they're focused on balance rather than outright downforce. While the KR wears a revised splitter that reduces front-end lift by 31 percent and drag by 3 percent compared to the GT500, the rear wing's reduced angle of incidence fractionally reduces drag and actually increases lift at the rear axle relative to the GT500.
When it says "the KR wears a revised splitter that reduces front-end lift by 31 percent"
Remember that another way to say reduce lift, is to say increase down force .
So my interpretation of The whole statement is that
The revised splitter adds to the overall down force and reduces the under car turbulence which gives the car enough stability to allow the use of a reduced angle rear spoiler which reduces drag even farther and allows the rear axle area to even lift. (or have less down force than the GT500 at the rear axle) The slight lift of the rear adds to the total rake angle which slightly points the front splitter closer to the ground resulting in even more under car low pressure (down force). balance that adjust with more speed.
