I guess they don't want to make money? And ya your right there is some nice performance part options but as you and I stated, " its costly" and after making your payment and insurance there just not a whole lot left over for modding needs. Which is why you just don't see a lot of modded GT500's run around which is a shame really........
i think some people are choosing not to mod there gt500 for there own reasons as well..some are thinking investment...which I dont agree..others just dont want to or know how to...believe me on another site that am part of you cant find a gt500 stock...in fact on a few of those sites I am like the guy with the least amount of mods...I was just reading on a guy who is having his entire engine re done with over 950 rwhp etc...that is sick...
yeah I wrote a letter to MWAG as well..they have no interest...I mean come on there are not only gt500's owners who want them..yet owners that have put on the gt500 nose that do...there is a definite market for them...I do know someone who is working on making them..I will keep you in mind if he ever perfects them...
yeah the payment on a 46k car COULD be high if you did not have a good down payment..as far as the auto insurance..just speaking for myself..my insurance is only like $20 more a month than my 05 gt last may....probably my age and driving record....but in fact it just dropped this month even lower..I am paying like the same I was before for my cars insured as I was 9 months ago with an 05 gt....I see 1 modded gt500 around my area...but then again..I dont see allot of gt500's around here either on the roads..so I think its really relative...allot more GT's on the road allot more potential to see a modded one or 2...

New 08 Z06's at Kerbeck Chevrolet at $64k, they have some demo'd 07's for mid $50's new, that is a steal!

There will always be a Corvette VS Mustang debate and since SVT has been around there was always the GT Vs Cobra debates as well.

I have driven a few GT500's and they felt alot better chassis wise, handling wise over my GT. I drove the ***** off of a GT500 the day I bought my GT, my GT felt cheap after that test drive and I am not talking performance cheap.

Wow this is getting good.

I think if your happy with a 450hp mustang then sticking with the gt is a good bet, but if your are thinking about going to the big boy HP club , your better of with a gt500.

a well modified supercharged gt with good brakes and suspension would be quicker and better balanced than a STOCK gt500 i think.

Let me put it this way. If i had a choice for a street cruiser that could run sportbikes i would go gt500 with an upgraded blower. If i wanted a good road car to take to the road coarse i would go roush trak pak.

My only gripe about the gt500 is the amount of power it needs to move. What will 550 rwhp do in a gt500?? maybe a mid to high 11 on slicks?? 550rwhp in a mustang lx coupe would easilly be a low 10 sec ride. The good thing about the gt500 is the motor. yes the car needs tons of power to get anywhere but it has the powertrain to attain the crazy power it needs. Its very much like the United States.
