When you say you reset the module, did you mean you set the jumper to the stock setting and checked to see if both left and right taillights flash ok or did you mean you set the jumper to stock and then immediately set it back to sequence? Did you also do the re-calibration after you removed and reinstalled the jumper to whatever mode you want?

Calibrate:
1. To calibrate the Sequential / Chase unit; Turn the left turn signal on, with lights turn signal flashing push the black button (sometimes red) inside the access hole until all three lights flash together then release. The lights will flash two to three times (all together) and then perform the selected pattern and that side is calibrated. Now without pushing the black button again turn on the right side turn signal and it will be calibrated after two flashes and then
perform the selected pattern.

You might also want to read the install instructions to help you troubleshoot the system. It shows all the wires involved. You might find a loose connection somewhere.
