Track Virgin?

With basic bolt-ons and stock gears, you can get the tires plenty hot enough for your power level in first gear. Like I said, just make sure you see smoke for 5 seconds and then roll through it to get rid of any pieces of tire and finish heating. And definitely don't try shifting to 2nd during the burnout with the stock gears. I did that and the only smoke came from my clutch.
Here's the video from my last time at the track (well, I went one more time, but realized my clutch was fried when I couldn't get into 2nd gear).

On your first time out, just have fun! Eventually you'll get better at everything. But mainly, just get your burnout, stage (ask and watch if you dont know how), and take off at the right time....
Oh, that'll be a big grin on your face.
