I wish TCS from the factory would default to "OFF" instead of "ON". There's a mod to swap it to default to "OFF" but I don't feel like digging into the wiring. With the exception of not having ABS, I wish I was in your boat... NO TCS.

I wish TCS would just remember your last selection
(ie if I last had if off then be off when I start it next)

I could try the tune route but my understanding is that shuts it off and can't be turned on again till another tune is loaded (couldn't they have just made it a switch instead of a software controlled button)(ie check the state of the switch instead of a toggle)

Turned a corner in a parking garage at 2mph and slide it into a curb wrecking the front rim and knocking the alignment way out of wack. At Highway speeds, you cannot take a mild curve over 50mph without feeling like your gonna bite it.

My first car was a 1965 mustang, 289 v8 high-po, 4bbl, t-6 sync 4 speed, traction-lock and this 2005 may actually handle worse, any quick/emergency breaking and hold on it's time for a power slide!!! Not to mention the stock discs warp so bad in just 39,000 mild miles I have turned them twice and replace them all twice.

Looking to upgrade to GT, Shelby, Rousch, or Saleen setups. An upgrade is absolutely needed, even if I have to go to the dealer. So is it possible? Have anyone done a conversion? Does anyone know the cost? Or give me a quote?
I agree with norm. Sure, the car isn't the most fun around water, ice, or snow (something indiana has for most of the year). But its not as bad as you are describing with proper tires under correct inflation. I also do not have abs or TC, but I did just fine this winter, and it was the first time I had ever driven rwd in snow before (and with the stock pirellis).

I'm almost at 30k but I have no signs of warped rotors. Are you using the correct brake pads? Are you sure the damage isn't from when you hit that curb?

Dont all mustangs have both? I would recommend ABS after last monday, i got rear ended and the only sound i heard were tires locking up beind me, im 99% sure if that old car had abs it would have been either just a close call or way less damage.

I dont really have any helpfull into but id imagine adding abs would be possible and not too difficult, just gotta get the abs unit i think.
I have an 07 with no TCS or ABS.
Its the best of both worlds.
You dont need them if you dont have them.
Adding it would be a nightmare.
And module programming would be required by the stealership.
Its like buying a V6 and dropping a V8 into it.
Just sell the V6 and buy a V8 equipped mustang...

at minimum he'd have to get some modules (most likely) from a 6v that had ABS/TCS

plus the hardware for them to interact with

TCS logic is in the PCM parameters and uses the
ABS sensors for it data acquisition.
