Default Odd Thunking noise

I had this weird thunking noise inside my car. If you hit the brakes it would roll forward then thud, if you hit the gas it would roll back and then thud. I pulled of the int. door panel off nothing in there, looked everywhere else that I could think of like under the carpet....

Well I finally took it to the dealership and they found a tube of sunblock in the frame rail (or channel something like that anyhow). I guess if you have a mustang with factory power seats they just put an elongated cut in the carpet under the seats for the wire harness to travel (so you can put the seats forward and backward) and it leads to the frame rail where the wire harness runs through, and Somehow this tube of sunblock managed to finagle it's way in there. So if anyone else has any weird sound they just can't figure out and it seems to be next to the passenger seat then in the back seat and everywhere in between this may be your problem.

If you look underneath your drivers or passenger seat you"ll see the wiring harness (if you have power seats). follow the harness where it goes into the carpet and there is a small cut through carpet that leads to a small channel that the wiring harness goes into and that channel in turn leads to the frame rail. From what they told me they had to take out the seat to get to the area. Now I don't know if they had to lift out the carpet for sure but they may have. And I the repair description they gave me it says "Verify Complaint, Remove right front quarter panel, kick panel and front seat for inspection. Remove suntan lotion bottle from seat front bolt support housing". You'll definitely know if something got in there because it makes a heck of a noise when it slams from from to back and the occasional side to side. The bad part is after I got the car back I wanted to fabricate something to close that area off. But you can't because the wires have to be able to move freely with the seat as it goes forward and backward.
