It applies to the Raptor. The Raptor does not require and adaptor. Many other shift lights do require a tach adaptor......

I prefer the "heads up" display of the shift light....no looking down, and easy to change settings.....

MSD also makes a standalone shift light. No adapter needed.
Jegs or Summit Racing sells them.
I have a Raptor and its a simple, no tach adapter install. All connections are made at the coil on a V6.
eBay has em

Does the raptor come with that mount or do you have to do some custom work for that?

I went with the autometer DPSS digital shift system light. It's totally badass! The stage2 (what I have) has separate shift settings for all gears and a launch rpm setting. 6-7 different color combos and looks cool as hell. and yes, you will need the 9117 tach adapter. easy to install...

Sorry ***** didn't see this quote. The AM is $200 and $80 for the adapter but worth every penny. Badass shift light for sure.
