WOW. so what are they going to do with the mustang? i see 400hp coming real soon for the stock gt's. there is no way ford lets the taurus sho have more hp and torque than the mustang.
sharp looking car though. and it gets a 6-speed trans. come on ford. you know what we are waiting for.... (400hp-400ft/lbs)

Yeah base price is kind of high, but with that kind of power and all wheel drive? Man that is going to be some tuff competition for other cars. I bet a tune will wake that sucker up!!! twin turbos! I can definitely see the mustang GT getting 5.0 and raising the price by 5k.

I commented on the new SHO in my Chicago Auto Show reflection...I love it! If you sat in the thing and saw the interior, you wouldn't blink at the price. This is one seriously nice car. Though the markets are probably very different, Ford could be targeting the likes of the Audi A6 with the new SHO, for which it is very competitively priced. That's how nice this thing is... (Can you guess I'm a fan?)

I'm all for Ford upping the Mustang's game, but for now I'm just happy to see Ford in good enough shape to go forward with such projects. Keep `em coming!

This reminds me of the original SHO when it came out.. I owned a green with with tan leather interior. I loved it!! I ended up getting rid of it because i had a wife that REFUSED to learn to drive a stick..... I had a SHO with 5-speed and a mustang GT with a 5 speed.. SO the SHO went .....

Really nice looking car that new SHO. definitely want to see and drive it in person.

Ford changed tactic with the Taurus...
It is now gonna be a luxury car, that will compete with Lexus.

So I say the hell with the SHO. Buy the cheaper GT, supercharge it and spank the Taurus with a sh#t load of money left in your pocket

just give us that engine as a choice. I wonder how solid the bottom end is. With 3.5 liters to begin, you could add a bit more boost and a few mods and easily pump over 400HP. Please add the engine as an option to the stangs.

Like we've said in many other threads, the Mustang is a top running candidate to get the ecoboost drivetrain. And yes, modding one of these is gonna be crazy. You're probably looking at pushing it WELL over the 400hp mark with JUST tuning.
