as for seeing pain transfer i dunno... if i got a buntch of white will he have any black?
He would definitely have some kind of mark or paint transfer that would indicate a deliberate or non deliberate action on his truck.....esp if the damage is as bad as you state it is...

You have lost out on this deal as proving it will be next to impossable
as the vehicles have been moved since the ding occured. You know it
was him because you know where your stang has been and about when
the ding appeared. But convincing this turkey, who knows he did it
and didnt say a darn thing or leave a note, to admit it and pay just aint
happening. The turkey has already started the denial thing by not telling
you in the first place when it happened. He wont admit to anything now
that it has been days since it happened. You are forked.

Go to a PDR and see what they have to offer. You'd be surprised what these guys can do these days if you get a good one. Worst case scenario is you'll have to have it painted. The GOOD thing is it's BLACK. Easiest color to match and cheapest color to buy.

Good luck. Let us know how it comes out.

If the police are willing to investigate this, then report it to them. Provide them with the facts and your suspicions and let them take it from there. That way you are not accusing any particular person directly; you are just giving them a possible lead. Whatever happens from then on is simply the police investigating, and they can make an accusation if they have the evidence. Keep your cool.

"You know it was him"

That's exactly my point 157db. Based on his first post he doesn't know it was him.

When we get pissed, the first thing we want to do is put our fist through someones skull. I'm not saying, don't put your fist through anyone's skull. I'm saying, make sure it's the right skull you're putting your fist through. What if it wasn't him? You've now left a fist-sized skull hole in a guy that had nothing to do with the ding, and the ***-hat that did do it is driving around with a smile on his face knowing he got away with it.

And yeah, if he left white paint on your car, that means it was paint that came off of his car. So, you should be able to see that. Now, I'm no lawyer, but I'd say, if you've got white paint on your car at say 42" from the ground up, and he's got white paint missing from his door at 42" from the ground up, and you both park in the same lot, or even better right next to each other often, then I'd say you've got a pretty good argument whether you're still parked next to him right now or not.
