Ouch! That hurts my heart 07musclemustang. I feel for you.

Art161, yeah, uh, realistically, I don't see the police actually "investigating" this one. I know, to us, this is tragic. But, in the grand scheme of things, the cops aren't spending time and resources on a door ding. They're gonna file the report and that's about it.

Not saying don't report it. I'm just saying, don't expect the CSI team to show up.

ok so much for that idea, sean transfrered to winnipeg.. im not gonna be calling all over the world.
yeah well im gonna probably see the police on monday, ive been drinking for about 2 hours and im sure its not a good idea 1 to be driving 2 to be driving to a cop shop 3 to talk to the cops with beer on the breath.
im working tommorow so im sure the normal counter will be closed untill monday.
I called up my sponsor, a detailer he said to bring it to him on moday after work and hes gonna get a good dent guy to come by and look at it and he can take care of the paint.

any reason why i cant wash it

tell him your insurance co is running a test on the paint transfer to give you the likely make and model of the door that hit u. See if that rattles his cage.

damn i love my car too much.
Like i say dont you dare mess with my misses or my ride
You would not know it seeing how dirty it is.
Are you sure its not so hard to look at because of the dirty condition?

I think you're ok to wash it. Should get you a better idea of how bad the damage really is. Just take it easy around the ding, you don't want to wash that transfer off.

Just because a Mustang is a daily driver doesn't mean it's not loved, 157db.

you truely are a piece of work! I started this thread to find help on a situation that has arisen to me. all of the others have been great other then you. I have seen this from you before.
here in alberta there is about 2 feet of snow on the ground. it is snowing everyother day and melting the next. there is a build up of 6 months of salt, sand, and crap on the roads. as this is my only car i must drive 30 kms a day to get to and from work. The car was last washed on tuesday afternoon and looked like this by wed morning.
Its a never ending battle to keep your car clean at this time of the year here. WTF do you know about that? does it even snow where you from??? if so maybe once or twice a year but still i dont think it does that close to texas.
My car gets washed 2-3 times a week to keep the salt down and slow the rusting.
I have a sponsor who is a detailer who signed me up just due to seeing my car 5 times around town and each time being spotless and thought i would be a good billboard for his website.
durring the summer. my car is kept fully polished to a mirror finish and kept under a car cover in a heated underground parkade, dusted off with a california duster and then hand wiped with meguires quick detailer in between its minimum weekly baths and monthly power polishes
the car will be getting a full wet sand this spring by jr and then an 8 stage power polish and then showcased on his website.
