Default SHOW ME THE ZEX!!!

My mind is goign crazy and i want ot go on a shopping spree right now but i cant but im considerign a zex kit as a future mod prolyl like a 100 shot because my car is a daily driver.

Does anyone on here have this installed and how do you like it?
Is it safe?
Whats better a wet or a dry kit (safety vs power)?
How long does the bottle last?

I see some videos of engines going on fire and stuff like that so it scares me and I don't want to do this in the future unless it's safe.

post some pics of your install if you could.

Thanks in advance

Everything I've read says get the wet kit - I have one on my car and have been very pleased with the performance.

For safety, get a window switch as well. The Zex WOT sensor is okay, but I had it read WOT at the line when I was only at 2000 rpm. The window switch blocks the signal until you hit the selected RPM ranges (in my case, 2600 to 6000 for the nitrous window to open and close for launch and shifts). Also get a dyno tune to make sure your AFR is correct. I have a nitrous specific tune just for the track and just upload it when I get there, and then go back to my daily driving tune for the ride home.

With the 75 shot I can get 6-10 runs in with no problem but in the later passes it is hard to keep the pressure up.

I can't get to pictures right now, but will post up when I get home tonight.

The Zex kit is very easy to install.

it seems like its pretty simple to do and its not the most expensive mod to do either. but it looks like something i could really have fun with not even to race with but just around town or on my way to work.

Thanks Jim!

i too have the kit. i am running a 75 shot on a brenspeed 93 octane tune with no problems. agreed with above, get the window switch

if you shop around, you can probably snag the entire kit for a pretty good deal. i got the zex kit, chrome bottle, heater, purge, remote bottle opener, gauges, and window switch for $800.

you will get around 6-10 passes with a 75 shot but that will start going down as you increase the jet sizes.

Its a switch that only allows the nitrous to be sprayed between certain RPMs. For example, you can set it to spray between 3000-5700 RPM. Its a saftey item that prevents you from spraying at too low or too high of RPMs to prevent you from blowing your engine.

Here are a few pictures of my install, the window switch is on the left

And this is how I mounted the arming switch, purge and bottle heater (fourth switch is for the line locks when I get them installed). The cupholder plate is from Speed of Sound

And the purge is set up to come out the Pony's nose
