I got the calls this morning. My tires are in so I'll have the wheels and tires on this afternoon. From the tire shop, the car will go to the muffler shop to install the JBA headers, the X pipe and the flowmaster mufflers. I also got the brushed aluminum dash kit yesterday. The C&L CAI and predator are on their way. It's a good week.

Steve,
What muffler shop are you using? I had my 69 dualies put on at Dualtone. Excellent work there. I highly recommend them. Good price too.

Which Stripes did you have ordered for the side?
It was these, in white: http://store.cal-mustang.com/cm_able...TID=25&CM_SA=0

The longer I have this car, the more I'm liking the clean, subtle, stealthy look. I'm not sure why... I just do. That's why I'm becoming less and less interested in stripes of any kind.

Don't get me wrong, the stripes look great on these cars...very "racey" looking. A lot of the cars on this forum just look frikkin awesome with the stripes.

But in my mind, I keep picturing my car the way it is now, except with the chin spoiler and a black shaker scoop poking through the hood, and some some sort of ghost hood graphic. But, really nothing else externally.
Glad you didnt get those! They Scream V6!

Yeah, a lot of V-6's have those side stripes. They would look too high on the GT because that long plastic piece below the door is painted the same color as the car, whereas on the V-6 it has that black plastic look, so the side stripe doesn't look as high up on the door. Check it out next time you see one.

Hey.. there's an idea! Make people think it's a V6, and then have the SC under the hood. Talk about a sleeper. haha

Don, those are the stripes I currently have on my car.

The dealership put the wrong ones on, so they said they change them. Would have done it that day, but it was 4:30 PM.

I like the look of the white, but I'm uneasy about the those, because they are the standard V6 stripe. I get lots of comments about them, all good, even from other Mustang owners.

I thing the Blue would look sweet with white stripes over a ducktail.
But the Shaker hood thing has me thinkin because I would to eventually like to do that, Thanks Don.

Bob,

I'm going with Warner's Mufflers in Oceanside. They were recommend by a few people, they were very informative and answered any questions I had and they have done everything they said they'd do when they said they'd do it. To top it off; they also had the lowest prices, not that it would matter much, but they were $400.00 to $1400.00 lower than the other shops recommended to me. I'll know more by tomorrow afternoon.
