Little confused. I read 700hp not 700RWHP. That DOES make a big difference. At 700hp at the crank the dual fuel pumps would be sufficient.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and as I said, making power is EASY - managing it and keeping control of temps is the hard part.

BTW: My 796 rwhp car lasted for 5000 miles of every day driving and only the blower took a crap because of a flaw on the whipple assembly line which whipple sent me a brand new blower within a week - I could have just slapped it on and been done with it and right back on the street. I decided to go for 1000 rwhp at that time because I have always been interested in a water cooled turbo street system and also because someone wanted to buy my whipple system.

I put 14,000 miles on the car with 650+ rwhp...

I garuntee that procharger you posted isn't driving around in texas with that HP on the street on pump gas and he is a liar if he says he does. Once again, making numbers on a dyno is very easy - the real money comes when trying to manage it...

OP - 700 to the crank is another story completely and much easier. Just like drag racing in that getting the first wave is fairly easy and it gets harder and harder as you go up (or 'down' in racing terms)...

If I was a god, I surely would have had the right combo the first time and not 4...

Why don't you also read some other threads on that forum you referenced and you'll quickly discover there are a dozen built motor failure threads going on right now from everything from oil pumps, to valves, and half the other crap I've been saying for a couple years. You think it's as easy as buying a built motor and there are a dozen guys with broken built motors right now wondering why?

Funny thing too is that there are only 9 guys in the country I know of who have broken into the single digits on a 4.6 3V and only 4 of us who aren't professional shop cars. if it's so easy - why aren't there a whole lot more than 9? Oh yeah - and NONE of them from Texas where you claim all these 700 rwhp S197's are floating around...lol

If those texas boys have 700+ to the tires on a 4.6 and don't go to the track - it's because they can't run a number THUS - their build sucks...period.

once again, the all mighty modaddict has stepped in and said the texas boys suck because they aren't running 9's in their s197's. I guess I won't say anything else because he alone is 1 of the 4 privatley funded cars to run single digits. Not everyone is out to build a track monster, some people just enjoy the fun of roll racing and going out to meets, I'd take a roll race any day over blowing **** up at the track.

Here is my opinion on what is needed for 700 BHP.

Stroked motor (298) like Modaddict stated using the pistons he mentioned. They are probably the best.

Stock cams. If you decide to go with an aftermarket cam I would ask Moddadict. He used several different cams and found one that works great. people have gotten over 600 rwhp using the stock sticks.
Stock heads.
Better springs/retainers.
GT500 pumps.
60# injectors, maybe larger I'm not sure where they MAX out at.
Dual BAP.
VCT limiters or lockouts.
Custom intake air kit made by Adam at ST motorsports. He would also tune it.

A twin screw blower. I would choose either the big KB, which is 2.8 liters or the big whipple at 3.4 liters. I say twin screw because of the intercooling of air/water. And I would choose the larger blower because they move more air at lower PSI than their little brothers do. This helps keeps temps down.

Also to help temps, I would get a larger resevoir in the trunk where the spare goes to have extra fluid.

Bigger/better radiator.
160 degree thermostat.

What the OP did not ask about was how to use all the power. Modaddict took care of this in his orginal post.

LOL - how retarded are you to take what I said and translate it to: "texas boys suck" Some of my best friends are in texas. There isn't any S197's doing it in North Carolina either - does that mean North Carolina boys suck?

First of all, roll racing isn't 'racing' - it's just two people acting stupid. and 2nd - hate to clue you slick, but the majority of blown motors has happened on the street and not at the track...
