I think Blue Beast said, "Roll racing isn't racing, it's two retards speeding."

Stroked motor (298) like Modaddict stated using the pistons he mentioned. They are probably the best.

Stock cams. If you decide to go with an aftermarket cam I would ask Moddadict. He used several different cams and found one that works great. people have gotten over 600 rwhp using the stock sticks.
Stock heads.
Better springs/retainers.
GT500 pumps.
60# injectors, maybe larger I'm not sure where they MAX out at.
Dual BAP.
VCT limiters or lockouts.
Custom intake air kit made by Adam at ST motorsports. He would also tune it.

A twin screw blower. I would choose either the big KB, which is 2.8 liters or the big whipple at 3.4 liters. I say twin screw because of the intercooling of air/water. And I would choose the larger blower because they move more air at lower PSI than their little brothers do. This helps keeps temps down.

Also to help temps, I would get a larger resevoir in the trunk where the spare goes to have extra fluid.

Bigger/better radiator.
160 degree thermostat.
Great advice. I will add now that JPC is doing front mount water kit conversions for the procharger and turbo kits, that those are now viable options as well. With 700 to the crank, the GT500 pumps will probably do the job but you will need a 40 amp dual BAP kit to go with them and it is going to be taxing. I would prefer the fore triple pump system or the drop in return triple pump kit from lethal. #60's will do the job, but depending on your boost and tune, you may need to up to #72's or #80's but I think the 60's are doable. Stock sticks and heads will do the job but deal with the valve train as mentioned. The right cam is dependent on your power adder and compression.

Adam is a decent tuner, but he is one of several you could use who have already proved themselves on multiple cars in this power level. Really depends on where you are located IMO. The stock block or any of the choices will work for this power level. It's only when you push past the 900 crank hp range that you need to look into billet cranks, I beam rods, and reinforcing the block itself. Make sure your build does not use the stock oil pump at any power level cause that has proven to be a problem for some of rebuild failures.

Finally, remember that it takes boost out of these cubic inches to get that kind of power and boost raises compression, so keep that in mind with your build and your tune.
