Default stock to light mod (s)

The numbers (at least on paper) rate the 05-09 Mustang GT (stock) to do 0-60 anywhere between 5.2-5.4 seconds.

What would a good CAI/tune bring it down to (avg) if you have one and did the numbers.

Then 2nd part if you were to do a good CAI/tune plus 4.10 gears would that drop your 0-60 time even more?

curious if that would put the lightly mod'd GT to the 4.9-5 sec range (better or worse)?

Might not even need the cai/tuner. 4.10s would help a good bit i would guess

I am not sure about time, but you might as well get all three. You will need the tuner for the gears, and by then you might as well make your engine breathe a bit better too...

If this is just a paper exercise, 4.10's would help - as long as they don't force you to upshift to third before you actually hit 60 mph. It is very close (I get 6000 rpm = 57 mph). A 2-3 upshift would cost you at least half a second.

yeah.. I'm pretty sure in my Auto I'm right at 60 when it shifts to 3rd.. which is crazy 0-40 in 1st, 40-60 in 2nd 60-80ish? in 3rd..not sure.. haven't really gone that fast very often yet.... and I dont even know when 4th ends.. im guessing 115..

the mods could wind up hurting your 0-60 times if you dont get new tires to get traction.. to help 0-60 I think one of the best things might be drag radials...

Ok thanks, when taking out human error with a manual I'd say for auto's. With your 4.10 gears and CAI/tune stomping on an auto can you break 5 seconds?
