Default DOT 4 Reservior Cap

Is anyone aware of a replacement cap for an 07 GT that either has nothing on it or preferrably DOT 4 Fluid? After installing a Big Brake Kit I replaced the fluid and, although no one should be messing with it, I don't want it indicating to use DOT 3 fluid when it actually has DOT 4 and someone putting DOT 3 in it.

Maybe find a way to attach your own special tag. There's a slightly better chance that somebody would pay attention to that than to a cap that looks pretty much like the same cap on every other Mustang. Especially if they have to move the tag to get the cap off in the first place. At some places, you're lucky if the tech bothers to wipe the grime off the cap in the first place (older cars mostly, but still . . . ).

I suppose that you could carry your own little (unopened) bottle of DOT4, given that some places might not have DOT4 in the shop, and would perhaps figure that a fluid ounce or two of DOT3 in the M/C reservoir isn't seeing wheel cylinder temperatures anyway and would just go ahead and use whatever DOT3 was handy. No matter what you think of DOT3, it's still better than air.

Bottom line - unless nobody else touches your car, ever - there is no way that you can absolutely guarantee that DOT3 will never find its way into your M/C reservoir.
