gps vs shaker 1000
#31
as a side note, at the Barrett-Jackson event in winter of 2008 I was shown a stereo system in a Mustang that was designed with Fender. It included an amplifier in the trunk!
It had amazing sound and utilized more speakers.

go stock or marke?t
just wanted to say thanks to everyone who posted on this subject!! i recently bought a (slightly used but in excellent shape) 2005 mustang with a shaker 1000 and have been checking into an in dash gps but now that ive read this i think i might have to painfully say no. i am a music fenatic and i love a good system, and to be honest i REALLY want something better than the shaker 1000 but i also want an in dash gps. does anyone know of a good stereo to get that has both? ive been searching but im afraid to buy on implus and regret losing my good system....one more thing, if i do switch out the shaker 1000 with a stock gps, can i hook up the subs it came with to the stock gps, and even more so, can i add more amp/sub to it to get it to be even louder/better??

I actually have a quick question for those of you who have the GT with the Shelby-style stripes - was this something you got as part of the vehicle as delivered, or did you have to have them added on by a paint shop after taking delivery?

You never did asnswer the question asked of you about which system you use that is so much better because it is the best aftermarket nav there is.....
