RE: 06 ordered!!
Dam, did this thread get hijacked or what? lol
Greg... welcome to the Mustang family!! I can't wait to see the Vista Blue... I want to see how close it is to Sonic.
And, I presume you're running a 426 hemi in the Dart, right? I would love to drive an 8-sec car... that has got to be an incredible rush!!! How 'bout a couple pics of the Dart while we're waiting on your '06?

RE: 06 ordered!!
I paid 26325 +tax, license and title fee.
On the Dart, i run a 528 inch race motor, based on a 440 type mopar race blcok with Indy Cylinderheads 440-1 wedge heads, alcohol injected. The car wieghs 3000 lbs with my large back side in the seat. I have owned and raced this car since 1978.
My best time is 8.77 at 153.16 mph in the 1/4, and 5.56 at 123.94 in the 1/8. I still havent gotten the best 60 ft out of it yet(!!) and am looking for 8.60s this year.

RE: 06 ordered!!
Welcome to the Waiting Game GregsDart!
Many of us waited 4 months or more for our cars. Some of us gave up and bought one off the lot while we were waiting. Even a few gave up all together and bought something else.
You ordering now puts you early on the list, I am curious how long it actually takes to get your car.

RE: 06 ordered!!
Great price.
Last weekend I went to the Schaumburg, IL dealer to try and negotiate a deal and they quoted me $39,000 for a '06 GT Convertible. I told them for that I could look into a base Cobra (ideally). They had a $6,000 markup for the vehicle.
Yep, I walked out immediately.

Yeehaaa!! I'm officially jealous. 528" is a monster... how much hp is it making?
Maybe if you didn't carry the front wheels for 75 feet you'd have better 60-ft times. LOL

RE: 06 ordered!!
Thanks for the kind words, guys. But as allways, i got a lot of help from my freinds over on Moparts.com. great bunch! As for power, i beleive it is making about 900 hp. It dynoed 847 and ran 8.97, then we found .20+ in ET at the track by changing a few things, like the oil pan which showed about .10 gain!! At that weight running 8.70s, it takes 34 hp to gain .10 in ET! On the 06 orfder, i got a $400 discount from MSRP. Pretty good at this time i figure!
