Default Tunes and different Octane gas

According to the manual you are only supposed to use 87 octane in the V6. If get a tuner, I would have a 93 racing tune. It is my understanding that I would still be ok to burn 93 octane gas even if I went back to factory settings without harming my car. Is that correct? I just want to make sure I have all the facts before I buy it. Thanks

If you go back to the factory tune you are good with the 93. Just don't use a lower grade with the racing tune.

No, it won't hurt but why would you want to use 93 octane after reflashing back to stock? You'll get no added performance. If you're asking if having 93 in the tank when you reflash back to stock is ok, then yes, it's ok. It's simply a waste of money if you continue to use anything higher than 87 octane with an 87 tune.

Nuke, i am with. Just wanted to make sure that when I go to 87 performance or stock setting that the 93 leftover in my gas tank won't hurt anything. Has anyone tried 91 race setting vs 93 race setting to see if there is a difference?

Nuke, how do you like your FRPP dual exhaust? Did you buy a kit?
