I think i figured out how to reset the tire pressure fault light without a tool or going to the dealer. I got tired of having to visit the dealer everytime I disconected the battery, and didnt want to wait or buy a tool. I figured it out by trial and error and some luck. I was replacing my sterring wheel, so I had to disconnect the battery to remove the airbag. After completeing that task I hooked the battery back up and of course I got the the pressure indicator light. Every time I started the car I had to hit the reset button and I drove around like this for about 4 days, I didnt want to go to the dealership and put up with the BS anymore. So after many attemps with no luck, I beleive I hit the jackpot. I cleared my tire fualt light succesfully three different times by using these setps below and its been about a week since the last time and no pressure fault light.

Please let me know if it works.

step 1: make sure the car is on level ground
step 2: make sure windows are up and lock the car with your controler
step 3: let the car sit for about 5 minutes
step 4: let the air out of driver side rear tire to read about 15-20 psi
step 5: let it sit for aproxamitly 5 minutes
step 6: service the tire back to about 37 psi
step 7: let the car sit for 5 minutes
step 8: unlock the car, start it, and tire fault light should be gone

You forgot the step where you stand on your head for 2 minutes and spit buffalo head nickles at 7.5 second intervals...

If this is working for you, then I'll be darned. If it works for others, then I'll have to cut & paste this and stick in my glove box for future reference. Go figure...

Or maybe it's just your drivers side rear tire sensor acting up.

thats why my light just came on i disconnected the batt this blows so now i have to go to ford again

these tire pessure thing are so stupid if you dont know when your tires is low or you have a flat then i think you are stupid hah

I didnt know Ford had to reset that light. Both times that i unhooked my battery and got that light is has went off on its own once i drove around a couple miles. Guess ill have to watch this again incase it happens again.

i hope drivin works fro me if not then i will buy the tool sionce thin will happen everytime i disconnect the battery, where can i get the tool from anyone know

I've disconnected the battery twice and never had to reset the TPMS. I suppose it's a case-by-case issue.

There is no 'tool' for resetting the TPMS after a battery disconnect.
At least there is no mention of one or the need for one in the
07' Ford WorkShop Manual.
Only one to retrain the TPMS system to new, unrecognized TPMS sensors.

First, you dont have to disconnect the battery to work on the
steering wheel and associated SRS AirBag.
You only need to remove a couple of SRS related fuses.

Second, you are not understanding the logic of the TPMS
system enough to understand what you are actually doing.
