Default Airbag Light

Hey gang,

Today my airbag light started pulsing. I haven't been in any accidents or anything. I've done a little browsing and found that there's a code, so I turned it on and watched for a cycle.

It flashes twice, then pauses, then flashes three times, then restarts the pattern. Anyone have any ideas?

Mine started coming on and going off - sometimes staying on for a second, sometimes staying on for days. The dealer found an issue with the driver side seatbelt tensioner - that thing that pulls the seatbelt tight in an accident.

1st trip to the dealer - they "fixed" a loose connection and the light came back on the next day

2nd trip to the dealer - they replaced the driver side side-airbag and the light hasn't come back on since.

2-3 flashes means :

Restraint System — Side Airbag Fault
GO to Pinpoint Test L.
(Passenger Seat Side Air Bag Circuit
Failure)

Have the dealer look into it.

Could it have anything to do with maybe something being kicked under my seat? I found a kickplate loose under the seat the other day.

J, dude...take that to the dealer! They shouldn't give you any hassles about your other mods being the cause and not wanting to do anything about it.
If it is indeed an airbag or sensor issue, you're still under warranty and it should be fixable. You can reflash to stock tune to be sure before you take it in.
