Default Can anything negative happen if you remove the fuel filter cover?

I was replacing my fuel filter cover and accidently made a huge crack in it when I removed it. Can anything happen if I just take it off?

Well that cover most likely shields the filter and fuel lines from dirt, water, etc. Did you crack it in half or is it fixable? If it is unuseable I am sure you can find a replacement reasonable off a wrecked one but whether to put a new one on or not use it is your decision.

Seriously, if its a hairline crack, I cant assume it will be bad, but take it to a dealer and say its cracked and have them switch under warranty. You got an 07 so you should still be under warranty.
