Default Exhaust or Intake and Tune

If you were to choose between a Ford Racing Exhaust Axle back and headers or an intake and tuner which one would you take? Remember to factor in HP and gas mileage increase but also just sounding better. Thanks for your inputs.

Intake and tune because:

1) The tune alone makes this car feel 1000x better than it does stock
2) You probably are going to want a tuner if you are planning on doing any exhaust mod beyond axelbacks and an intake/tune package will save you some $$ as opposed to buying them separately.

And if you really want to change the sound I suggest listening to some sound clips on here or youtube because there are many many options when it comes to axelbacks and each one can have a very different sound and character.

Thanks for the advice. I was told before to go to Brenspeed.com and get an SCT tuner but they come with several different intakes. Is there a specific intake that is better than the others. All i could tell by was the price lol.

Different people have different opinions on intakes but in what i've read/heard there really isn't much of a difference in terms of performance. Just go with what looks best to you or fits your budget. I went with the JLTII because it is fairly low cost and has good reviews and after about a year with it and the tune I couldn't be happier.

Intake and tune is what your first mod sould be. Brenspeed is a great company to go with. I got my JLT/SCT from them and would definately recomend them.

Intake and Tune +1

Do you want your car to SOUND faster or your car to BE faster? That's in essence what you're choosing between.

I vote BEING faster.

I think I have decided on the intake and tune but I am still not sure what brand. I am leaning toward the look of the BBK intake and tune from brenspeed.com.
