2005 Vert - Remote for Top Available?
No, I don't have a vert...but I do want one. If I got one, is a remote control for the roof and windows available from Ford or aftermarket? That would help in case of a sudden storm or if the nieghbor's cat came along. Yes, to impress the other folks in my work building too.

It's all electric, though the car would have to be on so you'd need the remote start too... I can't imagine somebody won't put one out (if they haven't already).
The remote start is an A/T only option, right?

Remote for the windows is available through ford, but as for the top, I seriously doubt that because of how you need to latch the top down to the windshield. That part you undo and attach by hand.

The problem with a remote for the top is...
You have to undo the latches manually!
My 03' BMW would lower the top using the Key in the door - - a feature I used constantly. BUT - The latches in it were automatic.
What would be nice though, would be only to have to HIT the button for down/up and have the top move by itself rather then sit there holding it for 15 seconds.
Hey - - who else besides me was told by Ford they won't / can't activate the Automatic Window feature with your remote control?

remote start will work with a manual transmission..cept you'd need to keep it parked in neutral all the time and have a clutch override installed..more expensive..and i wouldnt recommned it cause if you keep it in neutral on a hill and for some reason it rolls..bye bye car
