Don't have to raise the floor. Just install 2 shallow 10"s.

People love these

Its all opinion. No way your single 10" would make me happy. I have a 13AV.2 in 1 cube sealed and I'd love to have more. It would do a lot better ported but no way to make it fit in the trunk.

Right now i have a kicker 12" DVC L7 sub and a 750.1 kicker amp. Not as cheap as crappy sony explodes but there is a good reason. Ive had my rear view mirror fall off inside my accord atleast twice. Kicker isnt the best brand out there by far but the make some nice quality product.

Fiberglassing a box isnt too hard, just doing it right is.

I made (well i didnt finish it but...) a fiberglass enclosure for my accord and it wasnt hard at all.
You can get fiberglass at homedepot but they only sell polyester resin as opposed to the better epoxy resin. If you want to do it right order from uscomposites.

Heres what i did to make a mold to fit in my accord:
1. Select the area you want your box to be in (in my case the left corner of the trunk)
2. Tape off the area well with masking tape. Make sure all carpet or any other parts of the car are covered.
3. If you want to make it easier you can apply some wax over the tape so you can pull your box back out after you glass it.
4. Mix up some resin with hardener. Not too much but enough to last you a bit. I tend to blindly mix mine and i mix it with more hardener then needed. That just means i have less time to work with the resin and its probably a tiny bit weaker chemically but its still sturdy.
5. spread a little resin onto the tape and start laying glass. ONLY use enough resin required to fully wet out the glass. Extra resin will make you box heavy and weaker then a properly done box.
6. Only glass enough to where it will hold it self together. If you build it up to much you wont be able to pop it out.
7. Once it cures pop it out of your trunk. Might not be easy, but it shouldnt be too bad.
8. Glass it more till its as thick as you want.

Ill add more and try to get some pics if you want but im gonna go jet ski a bit before it gets dark so itll have to wait.
