Default 2010 Shelby GT500 lead time

I'm really wondering if I should trade in for '10 GT500 before I build this motor.
I'm in Hawaii (Honolulu). My DOR (Dealer Order Request) was put in and confirmed by Ford inside one week- in Mid June. No VIN yet, no specific build date available, but the Dealer and I expect the car to hit here in about three months. I'll know more next week- the factory rep will be here, and my dealer intends to get more info at that time. Once a VIN is established, it gets built quick. Then, I would expect a month from there for shipping to me.

They've had more troubles with their supercar than I'v had with my low end car. And I have more miles (slightly).

I was not impressed. It's a great looking car, and the numbers are great. But living with it might be a little difficult.

The sponsoring dealer had a 2010 GT500 sitting there. Beautifull car. They wanted MSRP - about $80K, plus another $35K in market adjustment (AKA: Additional Delar Profit, Additional Profit, and Dealer Gouging). Grand total around $117K! A nice car, but not $130K worth of nice.
I read and heard similar things about the pre-10 GT500's, also hearing about clutch chatter. I'll support the cheap interiors etc. on them too. I'm confident the 2010's are far better, and reviews all are saying the same thing, with actual RW HP over 500. Clutch is larger, chatter is gone, and the interiors are super nice now. Even with that, these are sub $50K car, not quarter million dollar Ferrari's- so keep your expectations reasonable folks.

On that crazy MSRP noted: My 2010 Shelby GT500 H.T. MSRP is $48,750 with delivery and the gas-guzzler tax, plus local tax, period.

boB, with all due respect, you are mistaken. It had to be an 09 KR, or possibly a supersnake. These cars sticker at 46,xxx plus options on a coupe. I can get one locally for 1500.00 under MSRP, if I order one. Of which I probably will, just have to sell my 2007 GT500 first.
